Tancheon temporary detour from Oct 31, 10 a.m.: no entry to Jungdae-ro 2-gil

From 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 31, vehicles can no longer use Jungdae-ro 2-gil and parts of Tancheon-dongno along the Tancheon stream in Songpa. If you drive this way from the Sports Complex, Suseo or Garak Market, check your detour before you leave.

## What changes, and from when From 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 31, cars cannot use Jungdae-ro 2-gil or parts of Tancheon-dongno. Traffic moves onto a new two-lane (one lane each way) temporary detour road built along the Tancheon stream.

The work zone runs 0.6 km from Gwangpyeonggyo Intersection to Dongnam-ro Junction (Olympic Family Apartments). The split roads above and below the embankment will be merged into a six-lane road, about 350 m of it as an underpass. The restrictions and the temporary detour are expected to stay until construction ends in the second half of 2030.

## How to get around, by route Coming along Tancheon-dongno from the Sports Complex side and heading for Jungdae-ro 2-gil? Turn left at Gwangpyeonggyo Intersection and detour via Jungdae-ro. Driving straight on Tancheon-dongno toward Seongnam? Pass Gwangpyeonggyo Intersection and take the temporary detour road.

You can no longer turn right from Gwangpyeonggyo Bridge (Suseo Station side) onto Jungdae-ro 2-gil. Use either the temporary detour road or Jungdae-ro.

If you used to turn left from Jungdae-ro (Garak Market Station side) onto Jungdae-ro 2-gil toward Seongnam, or went from Dongnam-ro (Olympic Family Apartments side) through Jungdae-ro 2-gil toward the Sports Complex, use the temporary detour road.

## Check before you go Congestion is expected right after the switch. The city recommends public transit where possible, or detour routes such as Jungdae-ro.

Before setting off, check live traffic on Seoul's TOPIS traffic information system or in navigation apps such as T map and KakaoMap. On site, electronic road signs and banners show the new routes. For questions about the works, call the 120 Dasan Call Center (02-120). [TOPIS live traffic (Korean)](https://topis.seoul.go.kr)
